On a completely different and much more interesting sport, Ottawa crushed Montreal in the game on Saturday.  Score of 6-1, with 3 goals scored in the 1st five minutes, chasing the Habs' goalie.  A lot of shots on goal on both ends, good checking, fast action, and a fight or two.  I couldn't have hoped for a better game to introduce the sport to my girlfriend.  Cheesy

Tongue Sounds good. I don't love hockey, but I can watch it. I like the violence, what can I say?  Tongue And we don't get enough games here, sadly. They show one game a week, or something. Other sports are much more popular.

Like baseball. And pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training TODAY!!!!

ETA: Ooops. Tomorrow.  Tongue

Smack TALK.

(Wait, who won the NL East last year? That's right. You handed it to us on a freaking silver platter. Grow a pair.)

Yeah, I love the smack talk. Keep talking, Beltran. The only thing the Mets have is a good starting pitcher. El Duque is OLD. Pedro won't ever be Pedro again. Oliver Perez has has one good season and he only pitches well against the Braves, anyway. So you better hope Santana can win 30 games.  Tongue

How I hate the Mets. Smack talk so early in ST.

ETA: yeah, so the joke was funny. But I feel bad for the poor kid. LOL

Spring Training Report: Braves

Oh, baby. Javy Lopez looks good. IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD. Apparently he still remembers how to hit. And he's still a babe. And Chipper tweaked his harmstring. *SIGHS* Trying not to worry about him, though it's hard.

Apparently everyone still thinks the Mets are going to win the division. BAH.

Oh, and the Broncos decided Javon Walker wasn't worth the trouble. FINALLY.

Pardon me for being smug, but everyone thought they were going to win it last year... except the team who ended up winning.

If they play the same way this year, we'll be happy to fill the void. Tongue

Status quo, my dear, is boring, undramatic, anticlimatic, and generally bad for business.

HA.

Change is good. Philadelphia won last year. No need to start repeating again, unless it's the Braves repeating.  Tongue

Change is always good. Except when we go back to the same old, same old.

Though I think we can both agree that the Fish and the Mets really don't need to be on top. The Nats... don't have a prayer.

What is wrong with Eaton? He looks awful this spring! Granted, it's early, but still. And, my team isn't exactly all roses either, why can't Chipper just stay healthy? ::sighs::
